Tips for kiting ? Heroic Slave Pens Defenders
A few guildies and me try to run heroic SP almost daily. When I am on my druid tanking, we always have to have someone offtank or kite one of the defenders that hit really hard (about 3-4 pulls like that in the instance). A mage is almost always in the group with us, but every one that comes with us is scared to kite one of the defenders because of spell reflect. I have only ever played a hunter and a druid, so I'm not too familiar with a mage's capabilites. Can someone recommend a good way to kite as a mage w/o worrying about spell reflect? Is there one?

My mage is arcane so SLOW is the easiest way to root, a POM Pyro hold the aggro until the first is dead.
Pull with Pyro, then slow, then Fireblast. Once the reflect is cast blink for distance, and ready to POM/pyro after it breaks.
By now your in the tunnel, so IB and let it run back.
I guess frosties can have a problem since they would need to refresh chill x2 as much, but timing + blink the reflect shouldn't be a problem.

Let the mage get initial aggro with their largest opening spell whatever it is so they'll have more threat then the healer. There's no way to avoid the spell reflect the mage just has to be smart about it, they can also use their AOE's to continue to hold agro but this is tricky since they all have a very limited range but spell reflect only applies to DD spells.
The next thing is to get as far away as possible in a safe direction. Blink for spell reflect, as said by the anon. Then cast instant/normal spells to maintain aggro. They should also listen/watch for near death calls, IB or Invis off the one they're kiting.

lol. I do that if I run it with certain healers from my guild, but not with most of the other ones. I need a bit more HP on my druid I think (15000 unbuffed in bear, 22k armor), and the healers that can't keep me up are kind of undergeared (although the rest of the instance they do fine).

@hillsboroughkids.org Why kite them? Just tank both of 'em. I've healed tanks through both mobs just fine. If your healer is paying attention, its really nothing to worry about.

Yea I have to agree that you should be able to tank both. If you and your group is minimally geared for heroics this should not be an issue. I've done it many many times on my Druid in pugs.

Pugs aren't an issue. I'll politely kick a healer from the group (or leave group if I'm not leader) if they don't have at least 1300 +healing. I'm talking about guildies that have 11-1200 +healing, that have struggled keeping me up on those pulls. Also, sometimes I'll heal the instance with my druid when I'm resto (1526 +healing) and we'll use an arms spec'd warrior (in tanking gear) to tank the entire run - he definitely cannot hold both as an offspec.

If you are the tank why not just tank both? It's not that hard... I have a prot warr, all I do is shield slam "X" and switch to skull and thunder clap/cleave..
Ive done heroic SP & UB both with no cc, really its not that hard just learn to play your class.
